This book is a very personal story that highlights the isolation and loneliness that anyone of us can experience when we are faced with adversity. The author of Never Good Enough... Until Now has openly bared her soul. Her very personal stories of triumph over numerous traumatic and emotional challenges are intended to help the reader reflect on their own journeys. Sharon felt that the pain and anguish that she endured had to be shared with others so they did not feel alone with their own pain. “I did not endure so much pain to have my story untold, I knew I could help others but I had to be open, honest and bare all” It was her relentless search for firm understanding and acceptance of what happened in her life that was the driving force behind her determination to change her life for the better.
Anyone who reads this book will be able to resonate with several of the many adversities Sharon so openly discusses. Her positive reflections throughout this book are a testimony to her strength and resilience and her willingness to take responsibility for her mistakes and choices in life. From the instability of her childhood growing up with domestic violence, sexual assault, the death of loved ones, divorce, depression and poor self worth, she tells it all. This is a must read story that will bring the readers to smile, laugh and cry while they reflect on their own choices and mistakes and then use those lessons to improve and enhance their own lives.
