Tampa, FL (PRWEB) March 02, 2012
HealthCamp Florida (http://www.healthcampflorida.org) and FMQAI (http://www.fmqai.com) will hold a first-time collaborative event during HealthCamp Orlando on Friday, April 27, 2012 at Florida Hospital Orlando.
“Both of these organizations share a commitment to highlighting innovations in healthcare, promoting best practices and encouraging the adoption of innovative practices and solutions, particularly those that affect both patient treatment and reduce overall healthcare costs,” says Brenda Young, executive director, HealthCamp Florida and president, Marbay Group. “This is the first HealthCamp to be held in Orlando, and organizers expect to attract hundreds of attendees from across the state and beyond.”
Using an unconference format, the event will bring together innovators, developers, cutting-edge researchers and others to network and discuss technology, process and policy in all aspects of healthcare. HealthCamp speakers are passionate about innovation and topics are generally timely, relevant, actionable and practical. The format encourages discussions and networking in a focused and accessible environment.
HealthCamp Orlando will also feature two Learning and Action Networks (LANs). These engage physician practices and other stakeholders that broadly influence health care within communities – employers, health plans, government agencies, policy makers and social service providers – to find ways to collaboratively manage their limited resources to optimize the health of their patients and communities. In addition, the LANs will explore innovative strategies for transforming care delivery in office practice and community settings while learning vital lessons from shared tools, methods, processes, lessons learned and resources to improve patient care.
"Attendees will be among the first to know about improvements and innovations, to harness practical knowledge to use in their practices and communities, and to participate in initiatives such as online interaction, increased use of social media for collaboration, peer-to-peer education and more,” says Diane Chronis, FMQAI project director. “We look forward to involving HealthCamp participants in these initiatives.”
