Jeff Storey of Level 3 Communications Named CTP Communications Executive of the Year

The Communications Technology Professionals (CTP) of Colorado today announced that it has named Jeff Storey, president and chief operating officer (COO) of Level 3 Communications, Inc. (NYSE: LVLT), as its 2011 Communications Executive of the Year. CTP is the premiere organization representing communications and technology professionals in Colorado. This annual award recognizes the Colorado communications executive who demonstrates the highest standards of leadership, vision, and social responsibility.

The Communications Technology Professionals (CTP) of Colorado today announced that it has named Jeff Storey, president and chief operating officer (COO) of Level 3 Communications, Inc. (NYSE: LVLT), as its 2011 Communications Executive of the Year. CTP is the premiere organization representing communications and technology professionals in Colorado. This annual award recognizes the Colorado communications executive who demonstrates the highest standards of leadership, vision, and social responsibility.

Before assuming his role as president and COO of Level 3, Mr. Storey served as president of Leucadia Telecommunications Group. Prior to that, Mr. Storey served as president and chief executive officer of WilTel Communications. He also held executive positions at Cox Communications and Southwestern Bell Telephone. In his current role for Level 3, Mr. Storey has global responsibility for operations, sales, marketing, product development, and IT.

Mr. Storey holds a Master’s Degree in Telecommunications from Southern Methodist University.

Communications Executive of the Year Award
CTP’s Communications Executive of the Year Award is the most prestigious award for executives in Colorado’s communications industry. The award promotes the industry’s dynamism and competitiveness by recognizing the contributions of those leaders and visionaries who inspire others, contribute to Colorado’s economy and make a positive impact on the community.
