Guests can sip on Scotch from far away Scotland, stay local with Washington whiskies, or sample both flights to test their taste buds on the difference.

The world of whiskey (or whisky, if you please!) is far and wide, but there is no need to travel the state or cross country lines to taste the newest in Washington-based beverages or seasoned and matured, carefully aged Scotch. Hop Scotch Spring Beer & Scotch Festival, taking place March 30 & 31 inside Fremont Studios, features a tasting flight with six whiskies handcrafted by Washington state distilleries, plus a flight of six single malt Scotches.

Guests can sip on Scotch from far away Scotland, stay local with Washington whiskies, or sample both flights to test their taste buds on the difference. Selections include:

Single Malt Scotch Flight:

Hop Scotch is spring’s premier beer, Scotch, whiskey and wine tasting experience. An event that can be self-tailored to suit individual sampling styles, guests can choose their own tasting track. Beer geeks can sample through the selection of microbrews from around the country, wine lovers can sip on spring release wines, and Scotch novices can learn what granddad knows, then further widen their palate with Washington whiskies.

General Admission to Hop Scotch is $25 ($30 at the door) and includes a souvenir tasting glass with five 5oz. samples of beer and wine. Bring your tasting experience to the next level with a Grand Admission for $30 ($25 at the door), which includes 10 tasting opportunities. Spirit Samplers can be purchased for just $15.
