Bethesda Physicians Drs. James Gardiner, Christopher Raffo and Christopher Farrell earn spots on the prestigious Washingtonian magazine list

Washingtonian Top Doctors 2012

Washingtonian Magazine released it most popular issue this month, the issue which features the 2012 Top Doctors. In that issue, area physicians chose the top 1800 doctors in 40 different specialties. Maryland Orthopedic Specialists, an orthopedic and physical therapy practice located in Bethesda and Germantown, has three physicians on the prestigious list.

Dr. Christopher Raffo was named Top Orthopedist. He specializes in the treatment of sports injuries, and in arthroscopic shoulder and knee surgery. He is the team physician for the Catholic University Cardinals and the Quince Orchard Cougars, and is board certified in Orthopedics and Sports Medicine. He graduated from Georgetown Medical School, completed residency at Georgetown Hospital and a Sports Medicine fellowship in Boston, MA.

Dr. James Gardiner was named Top Sports Medicine Physician. He specializes in the treatment of sports injuries, in arthroscopic shoulder and knee surgery, and knee replacements. He is the team physician for the Seneca Valley Football Team, and is board certified in Orthopedics and Sports Medicine. He graduated from Georgetown Medical School and completed residency/fellowship at Seton Hall University.

Dr. Christopher Farrell was also named Top Orthopedist. He specializes in hip and knee replacements, and in sports injuries to the knee. He is board certified in Orthopedics. He also graduated from Georgetown Medical School, completed a residency at The Mayo Clinic, and completed fellowships in Knee Arthroplasty/Sports injuries at Lenox Hill Hospital, and Hip Arthroplasty at Hospital for Special Surgery in New York.
