Major League Soccer's official scarf licensee produces Seattle's custom scarves for fourth year in a row. Sounders FC hosts Toronto to open 2012 on March 17.

Ruffneck Scarves, officially licensed scarf provider to Major League Soccer, is once again producing scarves for the Seattle Sounders FC season ticket holders.

This marks the fourth year in a row that Seattle’s record-setting fans have received Ruffneck custom scarves with their season tickets. Sounders FC has established MLS attendance records in each of the club’s three seasons, averaging 38,496 in 2011.

Sounders FC hosts Toronto FC in the 2012 opener for both clubs in March 17 on the Xbox Pitch at CenturyLink Field. First kick is 7 p.m. PT.

“Scarves and passionate fan support have become synonymous with Sounders FC stadium atmosphere ," said Ruffneck Scarves president Jeff McIntyre. "Our relationship with MLS began with those thousands of scarves for the Sounders’ inaugural season ticket holders in 2009, and like everyone else we still get chills when the scarves are raised for the team’s entrance and you see that wall of rave green throughout the stadium.”

Each Seattle season ticket holder becomes a voting member of the Sounders FC Alliance. Season ticket memberships are available by going to or calling 877-657-4625.

Ruffneck has also produced scarves for season ticket holders of the Colorado Rapids, Columbus Crew, D.C. United, Montreal Impact, New York Red Bulls, Philadelphia Union, Portland Timbers and Vancouver Whitecaps FC.
