Indianapolis, Indiana (PRWEB) March 05, 2012
Drawing on his own expertise in hospitality management and continuing with the protagonist from 2003’s “Voyage of Deception," author Stanton Jacobs presents his new mystery novel “A Family's Deception: A Jake Oliver Mystery” (published by AuthorHouse).
“A Family's Deception” is set at an 80-year-old resort in southern California, where Jake Oliver – part hotel general manager, part detective – and his family encounter organized crime, unexplained supernatural phenomenon and murder. Events are set in motion by two immigrant brothers, the founders of the resort, whose wealth, power and corruption lead to anger, hostility and murder spanning multiple generations.
“I don't believe other books will capture the true working and interaction of the staff of a hotel or resort like my books,” Jacobs says. “I write in details that only someone in the hospitality industry would recognize. It is these details that will make this story realistic, suspenseful and stand out over others.”
Fans of the Jake Oliver series can look forward to the third book of the trilogy, “Echo from the Past,” which Jacobs plans to release in 2013.
