Tag Management Pioneer to Bring Conversion Attribution, User Privacy, and Marketing ROI Expertise to Global Web Analytics Community

TagMan, the global leader in tag management, today announced that it has joined the WAA (Web Analytics Association) to help shape the evolution of the digital marketing industry. Founded by web analytics industry leaders in 2004, the mission of the WAA is to lead and support its members by providing quality education, developing standards and best practices, conducting research and advocating for issues that advance the industry.

With a strong history of dedication to the promotion of a global understanding of web analytics, the WAA creates an informed and involved web analytics community through the connection and empowerment of its members. The organization has more than 1,500 members worldwide, representing 40 countries and a broad spectrum of expertise.

“The role of tag management in digital marketing to underpin the future of web analytics and optimization has become increasingly accepted. As the global leader in tag management, we look forward to working closely with the WAA to advance everything that targeted tag management enables,” said Paul Cook, CEO and founder of TagMan. “I am particularly pleased to announce our increased participation during eMetrics as I still remember Jim Sterne first enthusing me about the need for an industry body at eMetrics nine years ago, and this time last year we were honored to be nominated for the WAA innovation award in recognition for our work pioneering the tag management category.”

WAA is the leader, spokesperson, and guardian of the web analytics profession and is owned and run by members for the benefit of members. Members of the WAA receive access to web analytics best practices, current and relevant industry information, local and global networking opportunities, key resources, valuable research, standards, discounts to industry events and publications and participation with social media groups. WAA members are also given the opportunity to get involved with relevant industry legislation and they may choose to participate in the strengthening of the trade through certification programs.

Peter Sanborn, president of the WAA, stated, “On behalf of the WAA Board and members, we welcome TagMan to the association. The strength and success of WAA is generated from and through members. The more companies who participate in the WAA, including both vendors and practitioners, the association will be better positioned to lead the industry and profession.”
