Starlite Vineyards, one of the top Sonoma County boutique wineries, will be participating in the 34th Annual Barrel Tasting Event by Wine Road on March 2nd-4th and March 9th-11th. The 34th Annual Barrel Tasting Event welcomes guests to over 100 Sonoma County wineries for two exciting weekends of wine tasting. Guests will have the opportunity to sample wines from the barrel, talk to winemakers and explore the beautiful wine country of Sonoma. Starlite Vineyards will offer wine tastings, including a ‘futures’ tasting of their 2nd Vintage of the 2009 Sonoma County cabernet sauvignon that will not be bottled until late 2012 and released in 2013. Since most wineries will not be offering food pairings, guests are encouraged to bring along a picnic lunch. Starlite Vineyards offers a beautiful garden area located on the vineyard, where guests can enjoy their food.

“We are pleased to be a part of the 34th Annual Barrel Tasting and excited to sample our 2009 2nd Vintage Cabernet Sauvignon,” said Arman Pahlavan, proprietor of Starlite Vineyards. “Our recent 2007 Vintage Cabernet Sauvignon has won side by side tasting against some of the top Cabernets on the market, so we’re looking forward to people’s responses to the upcoming vintage of our Cabernet.”

The 34th Annual Barrel Tasting event gives participants a chance to pre-purchase wine that typically won’t be available until next year. Many wines are so limited, buying futures is the only way to purchase them. The ticket price includes the opportunity to sample wine from the barrel and in most cases also try a limited number of wine releases.
