With our FTP-Stream China service organizations can setup fast and dependable work flows with partners in China and SE Asia region. Slow and broken large file transfers are now a thing of the past
Tunbridge Wells, UK. (PRWEB UK) 6 March 2012
Maytech announces two new mainland China access points for fast FTP file transfer enabling business in US or Europe to quickly share large files, such as HD movies, CAD files or 3D visualizations, etc.
Large file transfer to China from the US or Europe over the public Internet is slow and unreliable. Latency and congestion at the international gateway (Great Firewall of China) leads to slow data rates and broken transfers. Since 2009 US and European corporations doing business in China have turned to FTP-Stream China for a solution.
A pair of mirrored FTP sites, one in Hong Kong with fast regional connections, and one in U.S. or Europe, enable reliable file transfers that are always local and always fast. For example, files uploaded to the US are mirrored automatically over the private network to Hong Kong for fast regional download and vice-versa.
Whilst this solution solved the latency problem transfer speeds in mainland China could vary due to cross-border congestion. Two new access points in Shanghai have provided a solution with customers reporting consistently improved transfer speeds.
Internet access in China is dominated by two state-sponsored businesses: China Telecom and China Unicom. We have placed access points on both networks and customers use whichever is fastest for them
“Our system utilizes an un-congested fiber network with interconnected data centers in U.S., Europe, and Hong Kong says John Lynch of Maytech. “and we've just completed a substantial investment in additional capacity and link optimization - we’re now moving large files to China at an unprecedented 100 Mb/s”.
At the Hong Kong data center there’s fast links with regional carriers such as PCCW and China Telecom for quick and easy local uploads and downloads.
FTP-Stream China is available in a range of plans. All provide server space in Hong Kong and the U.S., or Europe, and include 2-way data mirroring. Prices range from $76 per month for one gigabyte of storage on both ends of the link, to $1760 per month for twin 500 gigabytes sites.
“With our FTP-Stream China service organizations can setup fast and dependable work flows with partners in China and SE Asia region. Slow and broken large file transfers are now a thing of the past.” added Lynch.
