Avectra Donates to Local Hospital and Charity

Avectra Social Giving technology allows organizations to identify, serve and build relationships with individuals and corporate partners interested in supporting the causes and nonprofit organizations they care about

While the Avectra Users and Developers Conference set attendance records in Orlando last week, the event by the web-based Social CRM developer of web-based member and donor-based software for associations and not-for-profits marked an opportunity to spearhead the theme of social giving and how Avectra Social CRM can enhance relationships with constituents, increase donations and help organizations achieve their mission.

“Social giving is on the rise with the convergence of social media and activism. We recognize people have almost unlimited choices about what causes to support. Avectra technology allows organizations to identify, serve and build relationships with individuals and corporate partners interested in supporting the causes and nonprofit organizations they care about,” said Patrick Dorsey, VP Marketing, Avectra. “AUDC provided an ideal opportunity for nonprofits to share how Avectra Social CRM drives engagement and increases awareness with new and repeat donors.”

In partnership with its partner 20twenty Strategic Consulting, Avectra lent its support to 20twenty team member Sahil Kapadia. Sahil was involved in a terrible car accident and sustained life-threatening injuries. His friends and colleagues created the “Friends of Sahil” fund to allow others to offer financial support to him and his family. To help raise additional funds for the campaign, Avectra sponsored two book signings: one with conference keynote, David Nour, author of Return on Impact: Leadership Strategies for the Age of Connected Relationships, and one with Jamie Notter and Maddie Grant, authors of Humanize: How People-Centric Organizations Succeed in a Social World, with the proceeds from both donated to “Friends of Sahil.”

“We are extremely grateful for Avectra’s support for ‘Friends of Sahil’ at AUDC,” said Rob Miller, EVP of 20twenty. “Their actions, as well as the generous support from other Avectra partners such as HighRoad Solution, take the term ‘partnership’ to a whole new personal level that’s very meaningful. To date, ‘Friends of Sahil’ has raised twenty-thousand dollars before 20twenty’s 100 percent matching contribution.” Avectra is proud to support such a worthy cause.

Also during AUDC 2012, Avectra oversaw the creation of a piece of artwork given by the Foundation for Hospital Art to be donated to a local Florida Hospital. The artwork was painted by attendees during the AUDC 2012 conference and then was donated in-person on February 28 to a representative from Florida Hospital. The Hospital was founded in Orlando in 1908, with eight campuses across the tri-county Orlando area. The art will be displayed in the oncology units of Florida Hospital Orlando.

“The whimsical cheerfulness of the artwork will lend an atmosphere to promote healing and wellness to patients as well as family members and other visitors,” said Rebecca Becker, Director Donor Relations for the Florida Hospital Foundation. “We greatly appreciate the work that all of the AUDC 2012 attendees have done and the opportunity to work with Avectra to create this project which promotes art in a healing environment.”

“Avectra offers associations and non-profits fundraising capabilities. Avectra Fundraising is part of Avectra Social CRM. By offering development, membership and social media engagement in one system, you significantly increase the ability to execute successful fundraising and membership campaigns,” said John Clese, Director of Product Marketing, Not-For-Profit, Avectra. “We welcomed the chance to lend our support to worthy causes such as ‘Friends of Sahil’ and The Florida Hospital Foundation. I feel exceptionally fortunate to work for a company where giving back is such a strong component of our corporate culture.”
