Lindsey G. Stringer has been named Association Manager of the Texas Masonry Council (TMC)

Lindsey G. Stringer has been named Association Manager of the Texas Masonry Council (TMC), according to Rick Dunn, TMC President. “On behalf of the TMC Board of Directors, it is a pleasure to welcome Lindsey to our organization. Her experience and accomplishments in the masonry industry will be instrumental in the future growth and success of our association.”

Ms. Stringer will report to the TMC Board of Directors and manage the day-to-day operations, including marketing, PR and communications. She will also provide oversight of the Annual Convention and TMC committees. Further, she will serve as a liaison to regional masonry associations and treasurer of the TMC Political Action Committee.

"I look forward to linking my past masonry, marketing, and business management experience with the TMC to propel the organization to the next level,” said Ms. Stringer. “My previous work as the chair of the TMC 2010 Annual Convention Committee and trustee of the TMC Political Action Committee has helped me understand the organization’s goals and objectives.”

Prior to coming to TMC, Ms. Stringer was executive marketing manager at Brazos Masonry where she created and sustained effective marketing programs, managed budgets, implemented databases, and forecasted market situations, which resulted in maximized profits, increased market share and expanded customer relations. Previously at Brazos, she was an estimator, and her duties included producing accurate and detailed estimates for bids ranging up to $5,000,000.

She is active in both national and regional masonry contractors associations and has earned numerous certifications. She graduated from Texas State University with a bachelor’s of science degree.

“I, too, welcome Lindsey and will spend the next few weeks familiarizing her with our current TMC programs and activities,” said Harry McGraw, who has been serving as TMC executive director since 2009. “There is important work to be done and I know she is highly capable of doing it.”

In addition to managing the successful statewide TMC Masonry Days , a program for architectural and engineering students at Texas Universities, Mr. McGraw will be providing masonry construction consulting services to contractors. His extensive experience over the past 60 years makes him uniquely qualified to help contractors avoid pitfalls and take advantage of opportunities. He is knowledgeable in all phases of masonry construction projects including high-rise office buildings, medical facilities, public schools, universities, churches, and residential neighborhoods. Masonry contractors throughout the state will benefit from his unmatched experience.

Both Ms. Stringer and Mr. McGraw will officially begin their new positions at TMC on April 5 but will be working together during March to ensure an effective transition of responsibilities. Ms. Stringer will work in the new TMC office, which will be relocated from Houston to Waco.

The Texas Masonry Council is comprised of masonry contractors, suppliers, architects and students working to promote the expanded use and the benefits of masonry. TMC focuses on increasing market share for the industry and creating value for its stakeholders. TMC seeks favorable state legislation in cooperation with others to achieve these ends, and through partnership with local chapters ensures that an adequate number of well-trained craftspeople and leaders are developed and maintained to support the increased market share.
