Quincy Jones III (QD3) and Feel Rich, Inc. partner with Boys & Girls Clubs of the Austin Area for Hip Hop and Health Takeover

Feel Rich Inc., a transmedia organization focused on creating and distributing health and fitness content and products targeted towards a multi-cultural demographic utilizing the power of celebrities and live events, will take center stage at SXSW Interactive in Austin, Texas. Hip Hop heavyweights QD3, Slim Thug and Paul Wall along with Co-Founder and CEO Shawn Ullman, celebrity trainer, Milton Harris, and Zumba instructor, Crystal Wall will be the featured speakers at the “Health Is The New Wealth” panel discussing the successful health and fitness movement born from the urban and hip-hop community's respect for music and entertainment.

The panel will follow the “The Takeover”: Health and Hip Hop Takeover The Boys & Girls Clubs of the Austin Area (BGCAA) where Feel Rich Inc. will host hundreds of children from BGCAA and neighboring clubs, who will be transported in to enjoy a day of youth empowerment and health advocacy, including Zumba Fitness® by Crystal Wall, Games by X-Box ®, and donated prizes.

As the obesity epidemic continues to spread, with the US leading the way, Feel Rich has adopted a fresh approach to health and fitness content that touts health as a symbol of success and the key component to an elevated status. In just a few short months, Feel Rich has already grown into a powerful health movement garnering support from the leaders of the "Let's Move" campaign, several iconic members in hip hop community, and corporate sponsors. The company's Youtube ( channel has already hit over 2.5m views surpassing two major health and weight loss corporations combined Youtube channel views.

Boys & Girls Clubs of the Austin Area (BGCAA) came to Austin in 1967 and over the years has been guided by some of the most prominent members of Austin’s community. Today, BGCAA is Austin’s leading youth development agency, serving more 12,000 kids via 17 Clubs in the most economically distressed areas of Austin. Each day, kids are exposed to life enhancing programs that focus on academic success, character & leadership, and healthy lifestyles. Club members have better school attendance, make better grades, graduate at a higher rate and are more likely to attend college in comparison to their peers. In fact, for the past two school years, the graduation rate over the last two years for Club members was 97%, compared to 76% for Austin Independent School District. More than a safe haven for kids “at risk,” the Clubs nurture, inspire and celebrate the limitless potential of our young people. Through the Clubs, kids are given the tools and opportunities to create great futures.
