Santa Cruz Sea Glass will start the 2012 show season at the 2nd Annual Cayucos Sea Glass festival. Held at the base of the local pier in the charming California coastal town of Cayucos.

"We like to really start off the year with amazing creations - it's fun to watch people's eyes light up when they see our booth." comments Krista.

Going dormant for the winter months, Krista Hammond and husband Tony Berkowitz have time to hunt for the sea glass pieces that have set their jewelry business apart. During the harsh winter months the large swells and rain can stir up the beaches, resulting in rare pieces of sea glass being found that originated by a famous artist tossing his glass scraps into the ocean over 40 years ago. Called art glass, these pieces contain vivid multi-colored and often iridescent colors that making it some of the rarest sea glass on the planet and highly collected among sea glass lovers.

Being the first show of the season, Krista works hard at selecting some of the rarest pieces and creating magnificent one of kind pieces of jewelry for the event. "We like to really start off the year with amazing creations - it's fun to watch people's eyes light up when they see our booth." comments Krista.

The 2nd Annual Cayucos Sea Glass Festival will be March 10-11 from 10am-4pm, held at the base of the Cayucos Pier, will also feature "Taste of Cayucos" featuring many local beer, wine and food vendors.
