San Diego, California based Scentco, Inc., known for its popular line of gourmet scented pencils made from 100% recycled newspapers called Smencils (, has entered the Walmart contest with its newest innovation called Smanimals (

Smanimals are gourmet scented stuffed animals made with 100% organic scented rice. Using a process that is pending a patent, the company infuses grains of organic rice with their special gourmet scents and uses it as the “stuffing” for the fun stuffed animal designs.

For example, imagine a delicious rootbeer fragrance getting infused into grains of rice and then being used as the stuffing for a cute kangaroo animal... the result is, of course, Kangarootbeer. The other lovable creatures in the Smanimals line include: Pink Llamanade, Crocodill Pickle, Orange-utan, Mint Chocolate Chipmunk, Cotton Candy Tail, and Dinasour Apple.

“Smanimals is a new product that is scheduled to officially launch in the fall of 2012 whether or not they win the Walmart contest. However, if people want to see them sooner, we are encouraging fans to vote for the Smanimals video at starting March 7, 2012,” says a Scentco spokesperson.
