INVISION Partners With DIRECTV to Offer Comprehensive Sales Platform for Linear and Addressable Television Advertising

DIRECTV becomes the first satellite TV operator to integrate INVISION’s DealMaker system into its advertising operations.

INVISION, Inc., the leading provider of cross-platform advertising sales solutions to the media industry, today announced that DIRECTV has chosen INVISION’s DealMaker sales system to manage DIRECTV’s advertising sales both for linear and addressable television. With this launch, DIRECTV becomes the first satellite TV operator to integrate the DealMaker system into its advertising operations, joining many of the world’s largest broadcasters, cable networks, and program syndicators.

In 2011, DIRECTV successfully launched the DealMaker sales planning and management platform for its linear television operations and, later this year, DIRECTV will implement the DealMaker platform for its addressable television operations. With the deployment of DealMaker’s advanced television functionality, DIRECTV will be able to manage its addressable advertising business based on aggregated behavioral and demographic characteristics, such as household composition, household income, geographic location, or interest in particular products.
