SVSi is pleased to announce the voLANte VWP120 Windowing Processor. The VWP120 is a 1RU rack-mount appliance that connects to a voLANte video network and accepts any four video streams as input. Simply plug one network cable into the VWP120 to access video sources and distribute the combined sources anywhere on the network. Input streams flow into the processor through this network cable and the composite video streams flow out through the same cable back to any voLANte display. Each input can be cropped, scaled, and positioned according to stored presets (such as quad, window-in-window, 3+1, etc) or in any user-defined configuration. The combined output video stream is then routed to one or more displays at HD 1080p or CG 1600x1200 resolution.
"SVSi's new VWP120 Windowing Processor represents product solutions driven by the convergence of ProAV and IT technologies,” commented Andy Whitehead, President of SVSi. “This is a windowing processor capable of handling multiple real-time HD streams that has no video input or output connectors - only network ports. This is a fundamental shift in the way ProAV technologies have traditionally addressed windowing but one that increases capability and flexibility while reducing installation and support costs. We continue to position our company as the premier Networked AV solution while the ProAV community continues to evolve to more IP networked configurations. It really is a new age in AV distribution and switching.”
The VWP120 functions as a 4x1 windowing processor and can be stacked to give 7x1, 10x1, 13x1, 16x1, or higher capability. A single connection to the network provides access to all available voLANte video streams for window selection and for output of the combined stream.
