A system of learning to pronounce and write English words by combining the sounds of the letters that comprise it is what phonics is all about. It has been the method of choice for English educators since the nineteenth century, particularly used in educating children in how to read for the first time.
For a brief moment in recent history, phonics was discouraged, favoring the “whole language” approach to learning English. Several years of intensive studies later (and an increasing amount of reading-impaired children), phonics has been exonerated, and is once again utilized to teach young children and first-time English learners.
Super Phonics for Superstar Readers is an extensively illustrated textbook prepared by author Jackie Taylor. Designed for children that are just starting their English lessons, it contains a wealth of distinct pictures and large, easy-to-read words to further along the English learning experience.
Teachers and parents will appreciate the straightforward and uncomplicated format of this book, allowing them to concentrate on other aspects of their students’ learning. With English literacy being more important than it has even been since the dawn of modern civilization, educators and parents owe it to their charges to leave them the important legacy of a good education.

About the Author
Jackie Taylor has been a Geriatric Nurse for 14yrs. Her love of helping people is what started her quest to bring Phonics back to the Public School System. She grew up with a father and mother that stressed the importance of education. She and all five of her sisters and brother had to have their homework done before play. They grew up with Worldbook Encyclopedia, Childcraft and Cycloteacher. Every family we knew had them. Once you learn to read, school is exciting. My students are all Honor Roll Students. It only takes 6 hours to learn to read using Phonics, 6 hours to learn math to mixed fractions, and 6 hours to learn Science. Those programs will be out next.
