ReSource Pro, the premier provider of insurance process efficiency solutions, is proud to announce the first 2012 meeting of its Innovation Advisory Council. The event, which takes place at the Hyatt Regency in San Antonio, Texas on March 14-15, will be facilitated by insurance industry veteran Rob Ekern. Its theme is “Not a Commodity: The Value of Trusted Partnerships.”

Rob spent his 25-year insurance career specializing in agency and brokerage management, production, and client retention, and his performance as a top-performing broker earned him the Willis Exceptional Producer’s Award. He later founded C.R. Ekern & Company, a consulting firm that advises brokers around the country on how to use his trademarked Consultative Brokerage® method to increase revenue by building improved value propositions and better educating clients on the Total Cost of Risk. C.R. Ekern & Company celebrated its 15th anniversary in 2012. Rob is also the author of the bestselling National Underwriter publication Consultative Brokerage®: A Value Strategy.

Every insurance provider must deal with the threat of commoditization, because many customers believe that insurance services and providers are interchangeable. Yet consultative, value-driven services can serve as the ultimate differentiator in an increasingly crowded field by leveraging both direct and indirect risks to make premium a secondary concern in the decision-making process.
Rob will suggest best practices and tools to help attendees develop lasting relationships with their clients and achieve sustainable competitive advantage. Rob’s extended presentation will touch on the following topics:

  •     Creating “real” differentiation inside a firm
  •     Delivering a quantifiable difference to buyers
  •     Creating larger revenue accounts
  •     Closing the door to competitors
  •     Prospering in an hardening marketplace

ReSource Pro CEO Dan Epstein says that “We are very fortunate to have an established industry thought leader like Rob Ekern to facilitate the latest meeting of the Innovation Advisory Council. His ideas have brought great success to some of the country’s best brokers over the past 15 years, and we believe that attendees will walk away with great insights on how to win and retain business in a changing market.”
