The Gluten Intolerance Group (http://www.gluten.net) is announcing the start of the Chef to Plate Gluten-Free Awareness Campaign. Restaurants can sign up at our website.
The Chef to Plate Campaign is looking for restaurants world-wide that offer gluten-free menu options to help spread awareness of gluten intolerance and celiac disease. Restaurants are not asked to pay for any part of this. As a participating restaurant, they are required to post table tents or posters during the month of May. These will be mailed free of cost. Participating restaurants are then posted on GIG's website, the Celiac Scene's website and AllergyEats! website through the end of June.
Every year, the number of people reached by this campaign has increased. Last year, restaurants in every state of America, and in Canada, Turkey, and the Czech Republic were represented. Over 900 restaurants reached more than 7 million people.
Diners asked to take the table tents home to people they knew with celiac disease. Others were thankful to know more about this condition.
If anyone would like to participate in the campaign this year, please visit our website to find out more. You can add your restaurant by clicking here: http://www.gluten.net/programs/add-your-restaurant.aspx
