That’s according an Infographic launched by Remote Asset Management (RAM), which highlights some of the things that staff who use vehicles for work get away with, and how much it costs companies up and down the country.

We wanted to show that vehicle tracking doesn’t just help companies recover stolen vehicles or find faster routes...

Taking incorrect routes, regularly breaking the speed limit, and submitting fraudulent timesheet claims are three of the main issues that companies face, and are included in a list of 10 ‘misdemeanours’ that are attributed to cost companies not only money, but also their employee’s time and in one case, freedom.

The Infographic serves to show some of the advantages that vehicle tracking can bring to businesses that use vehicles – from freight companies to building contractors – and the kinds of issues that the technology helps businesses cut down on, such as excessive fuel bills, decreased productivity and fines.

“We wanted to show that vehicle tracking doesn't just help companies recover stolen vehicles or find faster routes, but that the advantages are much broader than that,” said Chris McClellan, co-founder of Remote Asset Management.

“Working with many different clients over the years we’ve found that there are other less well-known issues that firms want to address, and that RAM tracking is the perfect way to do that.”

RAM are currently hosting the Infographic on their site at: http://www.remoteassetmanagement.co.uk/tools/infographic
