GUESS Watches launched an award-winning, lifestyle driven website to become an online destination for their consumer. The site features a variety of interactive elements, including the GUESS Access Blog. The fashion brand took a different approach to their blog. Instead of showcasing the brand’s voice, they are inviting the consumer in to share with readers from around the world. The One to Watch - Global Blogger Search is the discovery vehicle to find these brand ambassadors.
The campaign will live as an application on the GUESS Watches Facebook page, which is currently the largest global watch brand page on Facebook with over 1.2 million fans. In order to enter, users from around the world will create personal profiles that will include a custom-built style board to express their personal fashion point-of-view. Then they will share their profiles through their social networks in an effort to receive Style Points from all their friends and followers. At the end of the 90-day entry period, the top ten candidates in each country with the most Style Points will move on to the next round and be asked to submit a blogging assignment. Their submissions will be reviewed by a panel of judges and two One to Watch finalists will be chosen to represent each participating country. Each finalist will receive worldwide recognition and GUESS Watch product throughout the year.
