The unique life stories of everyday people, couples, and families can now memorialize a loved one, be given as a special gift, kept as a personal keepsake or passed down as a legacy from generation to generation in a biographic novel called a Novoir. Each Novoir is written by a professional author in a novel-length, fully designed format, illustrated with personal photos and memorabilia, and hand bound in one of four signature designs. The Marilyn's Memoir Novoir makes the opportunity of recording life stories and preserving them in an heirloom quality, artisan-crafted book available to everyone.

"Because I sincerely believe each one of us has a life of experiences that make a great and memorable story, I decided to use what I learned to create a product and service that would capture the greatest story ever told - yours."

Marilyn's Memoir debuts the Novoir: heirloom quality biographies featuring the stories of everyday people, couples, families, and businesses, illustrating them with personal photos and memorabilia in one of four signature-style, hand bound books.

"It's the perfect time for a company like Marilyn's Memoir to emerge," says James Pitzner, company founder. "There has been an incredible shift from fiction to reality in recent years. An example being the immense popularity of reality television and the sharp rise in the number of memoirs on the market, which grew over 400% in four years."

With technological advances and the emergence of social media, such as Facebook, YouTube, Pinterest, Flickr, and personal blogs, people are expressing their interests and sharing their lives more than ever.

"As a society, we are becoming more conscientious about our lives," says Pitzner, "but the problem is that what we share of ourselves online isn't lasting. It's a flash in the digital media pan, speaking only to who we are at the moment and telling only a fraction of the story."

Conversely, the Novoir will last a lifetime and beyond, preserving the personal stories and experiences of any timeframe desired - whether a specific event, period, or lifetime. It may focus on one person, a couple, or span an entire family, and all Novoirs may include the interviews, remembrances, and commentary of friends and family for added perspective and breadth.

While Marilyn's Memoir was born out of need, inspiration came from James Pitzner's wish to celebrate his mother's life, who passed in a tragic accident and for whom the company is named, and, more happily, from a desire to give his wife the ultimate anniversary gift.

"What I found in the marketplace were memoir/biography writing services that were either far too expensive, offered only a partial solution, or were nothing more than veritable scrapbook sites," says Pitzner. "Because I sincerely believe each one of us has a life of experiences that make a great and memorable story, I decided to use what I learned to create a product and service that would capture the greatest story ever told - yours."
