Bluegreen Corporation proudly sponsored the merger of two signature JDRF events: Gem of an Evening and One Hot Night.

"We were extremely fortunate and pleased to have a dedicated group of passionate volunteers to organize and promote this merger of events," said Bluegreen President and CEO John M. Maloney.

Bluegreen Corporation (NYSE: BXG), a leading provider of Colorful Places to Play, sponsored the Gem of an Evening Gala for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) on February 4, 2012.

The Gem of an Evening Gala was a combination of two signature JDRF events: Gem of an Evening and One Hot Night. This year’s theme is “One Hot Night on Palm Beach.” In its 27th year, the elegant evening kicked off with a cocktail reception followed by silent/live auctions, dinner, dancing and JDRF’s signature Fund a Cure.

"We were extremely fortunate and pleased to have a dedicated group of passionate volunteers to organize and promote this merger of events," said Bluegreen President and CEO John M. Maloney. "Our community is very supportive of the work that JDRF does. I am confident we will maintain our steady pace of raising awareness of and continuing financial support for diabetes research." Maloney also serves as president of JDRF’s greater Palm Beach County chapter.

A core belief in Bluegreen culture is the value of philanthropy. Bluegreen believes philanthropic work benefits everyone—those who receive the philanthropic efforts and the community in which those involved with philanthropy live.
