Stickam.com today unveiled a new program that allows the site’s registered users to purchase overlay advertising space at below-market rates. For only $1 CPM registered users of Stickam.com can now run overlay ads on live shows throughout the site.

“We developed User Ads as a way for Stickam users to promote their own shows, events, record releases, tours, etc.,” says Stickam’s Executive Director, Hideki Kishioka. “Among our 9.3 million registered users there are many musicians we especially want to help reach their fans in a cost-effective manner.”

With 85% of Stickam’s audience falling between the ages of 14 and 35, and with over 50% of viewers residing in the US, Stickam boasts a strong demographic for the bargain-priced User Ad program. Advertisers can designate the time and geographic location they wish to target.

In addition to social users who use Stickam for live video chat, Stickam features live events produced by companies and organizations like G4 TV, Vans, and NATPE, as well as musicians including Andrew W.K., Boys Like Girls, Cypress Hill’s B-Real, Gym Class Heroes, and The Maine, as well as thousands of up-and-coming artists.
