Recall, a leader in document storage, secure document destruction, digital document management and data protection, today unveiled the ReQuest® Web system for Data Protection Services (DPS). ReQuest Web provides Recall customers with a secure, efficient and convenient online system for managing digital tape inventory. The service is available through all of Recall’s 300 dedicated operation centers at no cost to customers. The introduction of ReQuest Web comes in a long line of Recall’s investments to better support its customers.

Recall customers will benefit from ReQuest Web’s extensive chain-of-custody security features, with the ability to easily manage tapes at multiple Recall information centers around the world. The online system provides instant access to location status and tracking of media with proof-of-service signatures. Customers can generate custom reports in real time and export them to PDF files.

ReQuest Web is the result of a long-standing partnership with DHS Worldwide Software Solutions. The two companies worked together closely to develop the system to improve productivity, increase accuracy and streamline data protection processes. As a result, customers gain a competitive edge when using ReQuest Web, the global solution and standard platform for managing digital tapes.

“ReQuest Web puts the control in the hands of Recall’s customers,” said Steve Hyman, president of DHS Worldwide. “We’re proud to partner with Recall to develop ReQuest Web and provide Recall customers with instant access, anytime, anywhere to better manage their tape workflow.”

ReQuest Web is a secure portal with protected access to each account and customizable security levels for each user. Customers can also configure ReQuest Web to meet their own security requirements, delivering rock-solid chain-of-custody control. Recall’s Customer Experience team offers free training every week so customers can get the most from ReQuest Web.

“We’re committed to providing the best systems and practices to serve our customers. ReQuest Web will greatly help our DPS customers to manage their immediate and future needs,” said Tom Fetters, VP/GM of Data Protection Services at Recall. “Recall earned its reputation as the partner of choice for DPS because we listen and respond to our customers. Our significant investment in ReQuest Web is the most efficient system for managing data tapes.”

Recall provides the most complete tape inventory tools for effective digital document management. In addition to ReQuest Web, the company also offers radio frequency identification (RFID) tracking to immediately locate and recall critical media tapes.
