I see Apple totally dominating the market for at least the next 5 years before anyone even thinks about competing with them.

RoadFish.com men’s lifestyle and finance magazine today applauded Apple for its latest piece of stunning technology, the new iPad, which the company unveiled during a special event on Tuesday in San Francisco. The new iPad, which features several cutting edge features, is slated to hit stores March 16th with a price tag of $499.
Jefferson Graham of USA Today reports that CEO Tim Cook led the presentation that rolled out the third generation iPad and its improved-upon features. Cook described the new iPad’s speedy processor as being four times faster than the iPad 2, hastening the quickness of emails, videos, and pulling up photos on the new device. It will also feature 4G as opposed to 3G cellular networks, which is considerably faster. And although the third generation iPad won’t have a Siri feature, as the new iPhone does, it will feature voice dictation through a new tab on its keyboard so texts and emails can be spoken by the user and appear as text on the screen. Cook stated at the event that the new iPad is "taken to a whole new level, and redefines the category Apple created with the original iPad."
Apple’s website describes the new model’s “breakthrough retina display,” which was first seen in 2010 displayed on the iPhone 4. According to Apple Senior VP of Marketing Phil Schiller, the iPad’s resolution of 2048x1530 gives it “one million more pixels than HDTV.” (Most HD TVs come equipped with 1920x1080 resolution.) Schiller stated at the unveiling, “We’re going to bring [HD quality pixels] to the 9.7-inch screen of the iPad. This presents a problem for us though…for the first time, an iPad has a higher resolution than even the display behind me.” In addition, the new iPad will boast a 5-megapixel camera with built-in image stabilization, auto white balance, face detection, a backside illumination sensor, and the ability to shoot 1080p HD video.
RoadFish.com’s editor is quoted as saying, “I love the company. I had a talk today with another Apple expert. We were talking about who could even come close to competing with Apple, and the closest company I could come up with was Google. Google so far has not gotten any hardware to really take off big. I see Apple totally dominating the market for at least the next 5 years before anyone even thinks about competing with them. That's why I keep such a large percentage of my portfolio invested in Apple.”
The original iPad was first launched in April 2010, and currently has sold more than 55 million units. Researchers expect that number to hit 100 million by the end of 2012. The new iPad will be available for purchase March 16th, starting at $499 for a Wi-Fi version or $639 for cellular. The iPad 2 will stay on the market, with a decreased price of $399 for the 16GB Wi-fi model.
RoadFish.com called Apple “the epitome of innovators,” and stated that they believed that “Steve [Jobs] would have been very proud of [CEO] Tim Cook today for his good work.”
Apple also announced Wednesday that it is releasing the new and improved version of the Apple TV set-top box. This device brings movies, shows, and music from the internet to the television. It possesses an improved resolution of 1080p up from the previous model’s 720p, and will be available for purchase on March 16th for $99.
