Miami, FL (PRWEB) March 13, 2012
Transgalactic Media, an entertainment software developer focused on the iOS mobile platform that includes the popular iPhone and iPod Touch, has launched its “Human in a Box” app on Apple’s iTunes Store.
Human in a Box (http://www.humaninabox.com) is one of the only interactive applications based on a live-action human avatar available in the App Store. The main character, Jerry Jenkins, is played by Miami-based actor Brent Battles. The app features a proprietary system in which the character’s reactions to the user evolve based on how he is treated.
The dialogue for Human in a Box was written by screenwriter Alex Torres, one of the two founders of the Transgalactic Media. Torres’ most current project is as the writer for the big screen film adaptation of the video game franchise “Clocktower”.
“Our goal was to create a unique experience for users that we hadn’t seen in other apps,” said Torres, “We thought we could do that because my partner and I had the skills needed to create [the human in a box] with a well-defined personality and funny situations”.
Ian Tepoot, the company’s other founder and designer of the app’s interactive elements, added “of course, its not just a movie on a phone. We had to create a way to have the character really feel like he was reacting to you versus just playing a set of clips. That was the trick.”
The application is $.099 on the iTunes App Store in the Entertainment Category.
