Michell Instruments announces that their Easidew IS Dew-Point Transmitter can now help prevent internal corrosion of the hydrogen cooling loop in electric power generators. The Easidew IS can easily & safely mount inside the generator casing and will continuously monitor moisture impurity in hydrogen, alerting the operator when corrective action is needed.

Jack Herring, Michell's Senior Applications Engineer states, "If water vapor is found inside the generator it increases the effort required to turn the rotor, wasting fuel and robbing power. This is both unsafe and inefficient and can ultimately lead to catastrophic failure in power generation operation. The improved Easidew IS will help prevent unscheduled maintenance shut-downs caused by an increase in gas density."

The Easidew IS Dew-Point Transmitter is an FM/CSA, ATEX and IECE certified, 2-wire, rugged impedance dew-point transmitter for continuous measurement in hazardous area applications.
