Jeron Electronic Systems' Provider® 790 nurse call communication system has been evaluated by the Premier healthcare alliance and included in products offered to its purchasing network. Premier's purchasing network is comprised of more than 2,500 US hospitals and over 81,000 additional healthcare sites.

Today, Ericka Baran, Vice-President, Marketing at the Chicago-based headquarters of Jeron Electronic Systems, Inc. announced that the company’s Voice over IP based Provider® 790 nurse call communications system has been added to contract with the Premier healthcare alliance, effective April 1, 2012.

“We’re thrilled,” stated Baran, “not only because it makes our most advanced Provider nurse call system readily available to over 2,500 US hospitals in the Premier alliance, but also because this highly respected group purchasing organization put Provider to the test and the platform met every challenge. It’s a real testament to the flexibility of Provider 790 nurse call to meet the broad needs of acute care facilities.”

Products selected for inclusion in the alliance’s offerings require a rigorous evaluation and review process, earning the highest marks in a full range of measures, including quality, safety, clinical impact and cost effectiveness.

Provider 790, which was most recently featured at HIMSS12 in Las Vegas, is the newest and most-advanced in a series of Provider nurse call communications platforms that the Chicago-based company first introduced in the 1990’s. With all the features and patient care benefits of competitive systems, Provider 790 offers the added benefits of lower installation and maintenance expense. “We designed real-world economy into this system,” explained Baran, “without sacrificing product quality and performance. That’s another reason why we design, engineer and manufacture all of our systems right here at our headquarters in Chicago.”

Since Premier’s announcement of the Provider agreement, Jeron has already seen increased interest from Premier member facilities. The new supplier contract was announced to the membership within days of acceptance. It becomes official on April 1, 2012.
