Denver, CO (PRWEB) March 14, 2012
Colorado Community Hospice, a leading provider of hospice services in the Denver area, has changed its name to PeopleFirst Hospice.
Colorado Community Hospice has been part of PeopleFirst Homecare and Hospice since March 2008.
“PeopleFirst and Colorado Community Hospice decided that we could become a more effective, streamlined organization by consolidating our names,” said Ed Seiler, Senior Director of Operations. “But that will be the only change. Colorado Community Hospice’s highly skilled workforce, caring culture and excellent management team will remain in place.”
PeopleFirst Hospice’s services include providing medications, equipment and supplies, pain and symptom management and consultation, short-term inpatient care during periods of crisis, respite for caregivers, education and training for the patient, family members and other caregivers, bereavement support, and collaboration between hospice and facility staffs for the patient who resides in a skilled nursing center.
PeopleFirst Hospice is a fully licensed agency offering hospice services to families in the following counties: Denver, Douglas, Arapahoe, Jefferson, Adams and Broomfield. PeopleFirst’s team includes a medical director certified in hospice and palliative care, primary care physicians, nurse case managers, certified nursing assistants, medical social workers, bereavement counselors, spiritual counselors/chaplains, speech, occupational and physical therapists, dietitians and volunteers. PeopleFirst Hospice is a subsidiary of PeopleFirst Homecare and Hospice, a growing provider of hospice, palliative, durable medical equipment, private duty and homecare services with approximately 50 locations in eight states.
