Enhanced Flexibility and Speed in Application Deployment

GT Software, a leading provider of enterprise modernization solutions today announced availability of version 4.4 of Ivory Service Architect. This release includes significant enhancements including support for JCA Resource Adapters and a new IMS/TM Application Wizard.

Flexible Deployments
Support for JCA Resource Adapters expands implementation choices for Ivory Enterprise deployments with J2EE Application Servers. JCA Resource Adapters provide a central management role in the integration and connectivity between Ivory Server, Enterprise Information Systems and the J2EE Application Server.

“Open standard solutions like Ivory Service Architect allow clients the freedom of choice when selecting their J2EE Application Server with JCA support,” said Steve Able, CTO. “GT Software, Inc. will continue to invest in research and development to provide more solutions based on J2EE Connector Architecture in future versions of Ivory Service Architect.”

Rapid Development
With continued commitment to ease of use and rapid development of web services, the IMS/TM application wizard for Ivory Studio allows developers to speed delivery of web services for enterprise application initiatives. One of the major benefits of Ivory is the ability to automate the process of building web services with Ivory Studio Project Wizards. The Ivory Wizard process provides faster time to production with higher quality than can be achieved using tooling which depends on manual coding.

The IMS/TM application wizard enhancements provide the ability to create new business logic Interfaces for IMS/TM from WSDL service contracts. Providing the ability to create Ivory Services from existing service contracts promotes the sharing of application development across multiple departments of the enterprise. “Business units now have the ability to define service contracts based on business requirements and with the Ivory tooling automatically create the assets required by IMS/TM application designers,” said Steve Able.

Organizations now have more options and greatly agility to create high-value, web, mobile, and other enterprise applications from mainframe data and transactions with Ivory Service Architect version 4.4.
