NextPrinciples, Inc., a cloud-based social CRM company, today announced it received $1M in seed funding from a group of senior executives and seasoned investors in the enterprise technology space. The angel funds will be used to fuel company expansion in the areas of engineering, marketing and sales.
NextPrinciples’ Insight-to-Action platform aggregates and analyzes data from multiple social media channels, including Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube and blogs. Marketers are able to monitor campaigns, trends and conversations and gain actionable insights for improved customer relations and brand and product performance.
NextPrinciples is experiencing great momentum, building on the company’s 2011 success which included the addition of several significant customers, such as SAP and Perforce Software. The company was also awarded a 2011 SNCR Excellence in New Communications Award in the category of Social CRM.

The investment round was led by Alex Ott, founder of CrossContinental Ventures, board member of QlikTech and former executive of SAP and Siebel. Fellow angel investors include: Paul Wahl, currently CEO of Causata , CEO-in-Residence with Accel Partners, and former executive of SAP and Siebel; Les Hayman, former Extended Board Member of SAP and current board member of multiple startups; and a number of other CRM and enterprise software executives from the United States, Europe, Latin America and Asia.
