In the tradition of high-powered magical fantasy fiction, young and promising author Caleb Konkel creates a world where energy swords, dark sorceries, supernatural creatures, and overwhelming power on command are in great abundance. The Life of Death is a riveting new fiction that unravels the prophecy that the Power People have known for many ages, the coming of a being so powerful that he could only be named Death.
A valley shrouded from the world. A tribe formed to direct the light side of darkness. This is where a legendary force is raised. He is the fulfillment of a prophecy that starts the infamy of Death. Raised to kill and to give life, to judge and to be judged, to live and to die. How is it that no matter where one goes there is always one that cannot be outrun? This force is never late or early when he visits precisely when it is time. Many tangle with him only to find that their time has not yet come. But when it has, they are answered with this: You’ve knocked on Death’s door, now Death is knocking back.
Readers brought up during the proliferate age of high-action, high-powered animated and live-action series will find The Life of Death to be a most exhilarating read. The elaborate descriptions of unearthly power and the exciting, pulse-pounding, life-or-death encounters; all of this is tempered by the distinctly human portrayal of the characters and their relationships with each other.

About the Author
When Caleb Konkel was nine years old, he created a superhero and ‘battled’ with his family. As he grew out of that phase, he kept the fictional hero and evolved him with his imagination, placing him into scenarios and having him deal with them. This caused lots of daydreaming that got him in trouble on more than one occasion.
It was not until college when Caleb Konkel was advised by one of his instructors to start writing down his ideas and see if it goes anywhere after that. Now, he is sharing the fruits of his imagination to the world, something many a child would like to do.
