Panel will explore how comprehensive risk management is key to meeting FFIEC guidance

Tiffany Riley, vice president of marketing at Guardian Analytics will participate in a panel at BAI Payments Connect 2012 in Las Vegas today. Together with an executive from a large bank and a bank technology analyst at the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency, Riley will discuss the technology advances necessary to meet the new FFIEC guidance requirements for online banking security. An executive from the American Bankers Association will moderate the session.

Innovation in retail payment service offerings today require a more robust and comprehensive approach to risk management. As fraud schemes become more sophisticated and complex, taking measures to combat illicit activity early through authentication and account monitoring are increasingly imperative. How will financial institutions address the hardware and software advances necessary to meet the new FFIEC guidance requirements? In this session, participants will discuss:

  •     The enhanced regulatory examination expectations contained in the guidance;
  •     What financial institutions need to consider when preparing for an examination;
  •     The impact the supplementation guidance will have on risk management strategies for customer authentication; and
  •     Strategies for implementing a layered-security approach.

Details for the session are as follows:
Panel: "Are You Really Who You Claim to Be? Improving Online Authentication"
When: Tuesday, March 13 at 2:15 - 3:15 p.m. PST
Where: BAI Payments Connect 2012 Conference, The Mirage, Las Vegas
