The event is drawing U.S. commercial real estate developers, immigration attorneys, investment bankers, EB-5 executives, private bankers, and venture capitalists, among others, to be educated on the latest happenings in the EB-5 Regional Center Program as well as opportunities in the overseas capital markets, especially in China and Korea.
The March 20, 2012 Miami conference will be centered on the Immigrant Investor Program, a 1990 initiative of the U.S. Congress. This program, which is more widely known as ‘EB-5,’ seeks to stimulate the U.S. economy through job creation and capital investment from wealthy immigrants, while providing those immigrants a practical green card alternative. The program has been a growing success, with much foreign investment pouring in from China, Korea, and the U.K. In the past five years, more than $3 billion of foreign capital have been invested into the U.S. through EB-5, creating thousands of jobs in a variety of industries. The Forum aims to help U.S. companies and individuals tap into more of this international investment capital.
