New York, NY (PRWEB) March 15, 2012
MyCostumeWigs.com is doing something unconventional for a Halloween wigs company, they have decided to host a costume competition on their site this week for all of their customers and readers who want to celebrate Halloween more than just once per year. For the next three weeks people who register for the competition on their Facebook page will compete to see who can come up with the most creative costume.
Wendy Patterson, the main idea gal behind the unconventional competition said “the rules of this costume competition are very simple. Users must upload a picture of them or their pet with one of our wigs on and a costume on. Whoever gets the most likes, comments, and votes on their upload on our Facebook wall will move on to the finals. Only five people will make the finals and our board of directors will pick the winners. All five finalists will receive a prize. We've decided that we will be requiring people to attend a live web event that will explain the details of the competition. Entrants who miss this live webinar event will be required to watch the recording before they are allowed to submit their picture for consideration in the contest. We constantly get requests on our site for us to hold more competitions so we hope that this one satisfies those requests and gives people something fun to do before October”.
There are a great variety of websites online that are dedicated to costume wigs and halloween contests during the month of October. Holding a costume contest in the middle of the year like this is simply unheard of in this industry. News of what the team at mycostumewigs.com has done is traveling fast and spreading to different blogs and forums within the community. Many people on these underground Halloween blogs and forums are expressing their excitement about the competition in the comments they are leaving, others are leaving comments saying that they have signed up to the competition already and simply can't wait to partake in the event.
In addition to the costume competition the team at my costume wigs have also come up with a free report this week on "the top 10 things most costume competition judges are looking for and how you can meet those criteria" .
The report is free to download and is available right now at http://www.mycostumewigs.com.
Be sure to check the site's Facebook page in the coming weeks to see all of the entrants.
