Prime Advantage, the leading buying consortium for midsized industrial manufacturers, announced the members of the 2012 Prime Advantage President's Club. Nine parent companies, representing in total 83 manufacturing divisions, were each recognized for achieving a long list of criteria ranging from annual purchasing thresholds to growth over the prior year to regular use of the group’s Endorsed Suppliers.
A.J. Antunes & Co. of Carol Stream, IL, ARPAC Group of Schiller Park, IL, Duke Manufacturing of St. Louis, MO, Follett Corporation of Easton, PA, Franke, of Smyrna, TN, Knapheide Manufacturing of Quincy , IL, Stellar Industries of Garner, IA, McWane, Inc. of Birmingham, AL, and Wilbur Curtis Company of Montebello, CA, have each earned membership in the 2012 Prime Advantage President’s Club. Their membership was achieved by meeting or exceeding many requirements, including:
- Achieving a purchasing volume minimum threshold through Prime Advantage Endorsed Suppliers, while also exceeding the prior year's in-group purchases
- Participating in various Prime Advantage committees, or served as a standing reference for potential Members/Suppliers
- Proactively using the supplier evaluation platform for Prime Advantage Endorsed Suppliers, an important measurement of Endorsed Supplier performance that is closely monitored by Prime Advantage
- Consistently participating in the semi-annual conferences held with Members and Endorsed Suppliers.
A representative from each company will be recognized for this accomplishment at the Prime Advantage Spring Conference in Austin, TX, April 25-27.
“It is critical to recognize elite companies within our group, those who exemplify the very best in supply chain management,” said Louise O’Sullivan, CEO and founder of Prime Advantage. “President’s Club winners offer examples of how outstanding attention to supply chain excellence in procurement processes, with pre-qualified Suppliers, can lead to significant bottom-line savings, as well as highly developed procurement organizations.”
“Thank you for this honor. ARPAC is on an aggressive growth path and Prime Advantage has been instrumental in helping us achieve this growth,” said Rick Allegretti, president, ARPAC Group. “We appreciate the relationship and look forward to continued success.”
In the past ten years, Prime Advantage has paid more than $113 million in rebates and discounts to its manufacturing industry Members.
