Graphic Products, Inc. has released a new cryogenic label supply for virology labeling, genetics labeling, DNA sequencing and cryogenic storage – applications which demand durability at temperatures as low as -320° F. DuraLabel Cryogenic Labels are designed for long-term specimen storage on vials, tubes, slides and many other containers used in cryogenic freezing.

Typical labels will not stand up to liquid and vapor phase liquid nitrogen, dry ice deep freezes, boiling water autoclaving and gamma irradiation. These applications require a label with strong adhesion at extreme low temperatures, a base film material that will not crack or chip and printing that does not fade or wash off. DuraLabel Cryogenic Labels are engineered with a tough patent-pending acrylic adhesive to provide lasting performance when exposed to these challenging conditions.

DuraLabel thermal transfer printers – DL PRO 300, DL 4000 and Toro -- are used to print custom bar code or serialized labels on demand. Labels can include a laboratory logo or any combination of text, bar code and graphics. Cryogenic Label widths range from .75” x .75” to 4” x 3”.

“This supply can be used to produce labels that are compatible with the lab's Laboratory Information System (LIS). Labs are automating as much as they can, and bar code labels on materials in cryogenic storage are used to enter information directly into the LIS,” explained Steve Stephenson, Graphic Products.

DuraLabel Cryogenic labels are:

For laboratories and hospitals demanding subzero labeling applications, DuraLabel also offers its LN2 Poly Tape which is rated for indoor service in temperatures reaching 112°F (-80°C).

With more than 50 unique labeling supplies, Graphic Products, Inc. is equipped to solve problems in the industrial safety arena -- providing the right label material for nearly every type of application including arc flash, pipe marking, facility safety, mining, food processing and construction.
