Tradewinds Carmel "Stay and Play" package gives guests the best of both worlds: a discounted green fees and golf cart rental at Carmel Valley's famous Quail Lodge Golf Club and the charm of staying overnight in downtown Carmel. Couples packages start at $450. Single packages start at $350. Rates vary by season and day of the week. A two night minimum is required for Saturday bookings. Golf on the same ocean as the prestigious Pebble Beach, Cypress and Spanish Bay courses at a fraction of the cost. The Seven Gables Inn in Pacific Grove is offering a golf package that includes a tee time for one person at Pacific Grove Municipal Golf Links, a quarter-zip brushed micro suede sweatshirt from Gear for Sports, a ladies’ micro suede jacket from Gear for Sports, and a bottle of champagne or choice of red or white wine. The package is $165 and may be added to the price of any room. Additional tee times are $40 extra on weekdays and $45 weekends. Cart rentals are additional. For the month of March, guests of the Homestead Cottages near Yosemite receive the locals’ rate at the majestic River Creek Golf Course. Green fees are just $18 for 18 holes, or $12 for 9 holes. Through March 29, accommodations at Homestead Cottages are discounted to $119 for the Star Gazing Loft, $155-$169 for a cottage and $259 for the Ranch House. The contemporary cottages offer a secluded and relaxing getaway.
Guests of the Las Fuentes Inn and Gardens, an intimate desert retreat in Palm Springs, can receive a $10 per person discount on green fees at the nearby Mesquite Golf and Country Club. The Mesquite Golf Course is an 18-hole championship course with breathtaking mountain vistas amid swaying palm trees. It features five lakes, mature tree-lined fairways with seven bridges, and provides a challenge for players of all skill levels. The $10 discount vouchers are valid through September-May. Discount vouchers of $5 are available June-August.
At the Captain's Inn at Moss Landing, stay and play on a nearby championship golf course at a discount. The "Stay and Play" package includes: golf for two, range, and cart plus your choice of either Bayonet or Black Horse premier courses. Bayonet and Blackhorse are located less than 15 minutes south of the inn. Reserve in advance to get great tee times.
