The Behlman COTS DMCA power supply (P/N 94057) has special performance features that continue to make it the winning choice for use on the USAF RC-135 Rivet Joint all-weather surveillance aircraft.

...our engineers created the unique 94057, DCMA4000 version to meet the special requirements of the RC-135 Rivet Joint aircraft.

Behlman Electronics Inc., known for its leadership in providing power products for military, industrial, and commercial applications, has received another follow-on order for its COTS DMCA4000 power supply. The special performance features of this unit have made it the preferred choice for years, for use aboard the USAF RC-135 Rivet Joint all-weather surveillance aircraft.

USAF RC-135V/W Rivet Joint aircraft are equipped with an extensive array of sophisticated electronic equipment that need rugged, high-performance, extremely reliable power supplies. Also known as “RJ,” the aircraft are sometimes called “hogs” due to the extended “hog nose” and “hog cheeks." Rivet Joint aircraft, widely used in the 1990s, are expected to continue their missions through at least 2018.

Ron Storm, Behlman Vice President of Sales and Marketing said, “Starting several years ago with one of our standard COTS power supplies -- which was known for having extreme reliability in many industrial applications -- our engineers created the unique 94057, DCMA4000 version to meet the special requirements of the RC-135 Rivet Joint aircraft. It is very gratifying to know that year after year repeat orders for this unit have been placed to support critical USAF missions.”

Behlman’s DMCA4000 COTS power supplies are rugged, highly reliable 4,000-watt switch mode units built for high-end industrial and military applications. For airborne applications they are powered from three-phase AC aircraft power and provide outputs at +3.3 VDC, +5 VDC, + 12 VDC, - 12 VDC and - 28 VDC. These ultra-sturdy power supplies are built to endure the rigors of mission-critical applications, and are designed to meet the input power requirements of MIL-STD-704. At 4.5”H x 16” W x 21.5” D and weighing only 33.5 lbs, these rack-mounted power supplies readily accommodate the tight quarters typically found in airborne, shipboard and mobile applications.
