Easi-App provides an affordable entry-point app solution for magazine publishers
New York (PRWEB) March 16, 2012
YUDU Media, the award-winning provider of digital publishing solutions, will launch ‘Easi-App’ for the US market at the forthcoming Publishing Business Conference & Expo held at New York’s Marriott Marquis, Times Square, March 19th - 21st 2012.
Easi-App, designed especially for Apple Newsstand, provides an affordable entry-point app solution for magazine publishers. The quick, simple and cost-effective solution is ideal for independent publishers who previously decided to wait before publishing their magazines on the Apple iPad.
With March’s launch of the latest iPad set to extend Apple’s iPad sales well beyond the current 40 million mark, as well as overwhelming evidence that Apple Newsstand has been a major success in boosting downloads, the economic arguments are now obvious.
Charges for Easi-App involve a low app price paid quarterly and a block page rate. YUDU Media estimates that the cost for an average 72 page magazine (published twelve times a year) will be approx. $550 per issue. It is envisaged that costs can be quickly recouped by a single sponsor, advertising revenue or as few as 140 magazine subscriptions at typical rates.
Easi-App allows magazine publishers the freedom to monetise their editions as they wish and keep all the revenue they generate. There are no hidden charges and all costs are known upfront.

Richard Stephenson, CEO of YUDU Media, says: “iPad publishing has proved extremely lucrative for both publishers and advertisers. However, for independent niche magazines the cost of building an app has been prohibitive or involved revenue share of some description. Our Easi-App solution does away with this and allows smaller publishers to offer their title on the iPad yet also keep the revenue – for just $550 per issue.”
Stephenson continues, “Earlier this month a report by the US-based Project for Excellence in Journalism found that publishers showing signs of success in today’s market ‘have pushed digital’ and ‘taken more risks’. Our Easi-App technology, we believe, offers a digital solution for independent publishers yet for minimal risk.”
