HomeServe USA (HomeServe), a leading provider of Emergency Repair Service Plans, was recently awarded a Best in Advertising award from the American Water Works Association (AWWA) Manufacturers Associates Council. HomeServe received the 2011 Gold award in the partial-page ad category.

HomeServe USA’s winning ad focuses on how the company provides, “Tools for happier customers, higher revenues.” HomeServe partners with over 25 of the leading water, gas, and electrical utilities, and water heating appliance manufacturers across the United States and Canada to offer their customers value-added plans that increase customer satisfaction, with no financial or operational risk to the utility.

The AWWA Manufacturers Associates Council compiles more than 50 judges to review the ads from all sectors of the industry, including utility members, marketing consultants and creative design staffs. AWWA ads are reviewed based on three components: high degree of visual magnetism, level of inspiration to learn more about the product or service, and clearly stating what the product or service is about.

Many customers are already calling their utilities for help, with 55 percent believing their water provider is responsible for repairing the service lines to the home.1 A HomeServe USA partnership allow utilities to provide their customers with a solution not covered by most standard homeowners insurance along with added peace of mind. Moreover, water utility customers who hold an emergency repair service plan from HomeServe USA had a 33% more favourable (‘excellent’ or ‘very good’) rating of their utility than those without a plan1.
