Alicare Medical Management has implemented LVM Systems, Inc.’s Centaurus Telehealth Triage system in an effort to provide patients with the customized information they need, when they need it.

This technology coupled with AMM’s clinical expertise and a customizable workflow approach creates an efficient, evidence-based quality outcome for our clients and their membership.

Alicare Medical Management (AMM), one of the nation’s leading care management solution providers, has implemented LVM Systems, Inc.’s Centaurus Telehealth Triage system to provide the highest quality of service to its clients. AMM is using the most up-to-date and comprehensive version of Centaurus, which utilizes the protocols of Drs. Barton Schmitt and David Thompson, leaders in telephone triage.

“The AMM team is confident that integrating the Centaurus triage system into its dynamic operation will further enhance the already high-level of support we offer callers,” says Claire Levitt, AMM president. “Centaurus provides us with a great deal of flexibility – the customizable format allows us to tailor it to not only our unique work flow, but to the individual requirements of each client. This results in more specific information and accuracy in addressing each caller’s needs.”

AMM offers 24-hour Nurse Helpline and Health Information Services as part of its umbrella of Care Management programs. With over two million people able to access AMM’s Nurse HelpLine service, using Centaurus will strengthen AMM’s ability to provide patients with the customized information they need, when they need it.

“One of the features that sold us on this system is the ability for the nurse to see the client customizations and nuances that pertain only to that client, regardless of which screen they are on,” says Julie O’Brien, AMM vice president and COO. “This allows the nurse to review and remain familiar with each client’s unique requirements.”

The Centaurus Telehealth triage system’s “nursing support” enhancements – the result of listening to feedback from hundreds of triage nurses – make it unique.

“LVM Systems looks forward to building a long-term partnership with Alicare,” says LVM Systems COO Mark Dwyer. “We recognize the significant role AMM plays in the lives of its customers. As AMM adds new services and refines existing ones, LVM will be there to provide products and services to meet these needs.”

O’Brien adds, “Leveraging LVM technology of Centaurus coupled with AMM’s clinical expertise and a customizable workflow approach creates an efficient, evidence-based quality outcome for our clients and their membership.”
