LCU is a great match for so many of Howard College’s associate program graduates who are interested in pursuing a bachelor’s degree.

Thanks to a new articulation agreement signed on September 28th, 2011 Howard College students can transfer credits with ease to regionally accredited Lubbock Christian University. While LCU has a campus in Lubbock, TX, the university is also a leader in online education, offering two Bachelor completion programs and two Master’s level programs via their online platform.

Howard College believes that education is the primary purpose of the institution and that the programs and services of the college should be available to all citizens who are able to benefit from them. The college is committed to excellence in carrying out its purpose of meeting the educational needs of its students and the community. Now, Howard College students will have the exciting option to continue their education through Lubbock Christian University via their online programs.

Two LCU degrees are part of the Howard College agreement: Bachelor’s of Organizational Management and Bachelor’s of Organizational Leadership. Applicants will be able to transfer up to 90 credit hours from Howard College toward completion of these degrees.

The Organizational Management program provides training in the problem-solving and interpersonal skills needed to succeed in nearly any field. Along with basic business knowledge in accounting, finance, and human resources, the curriculum also provides a broader perspective of the workings of organizations and how to help improve systems and processes.

The Organizational Leadership program emphasizes the human side of business to train effective, ethical leaders. This program provides the skills and knowledge needed to successfully guide employees and improve organizational performance.

“We are so pleased to have our transfer agreement finalized with Lubbock Christian University,” said Dr. Amy Burchett, Vice President of Academic and Student Affairs.
“LCU offers an array of bachelor and graduate degree programs that focus on adult learners. LCU is a great match for so many of Howard College’s associate program graduates who are interested in pursuing a bachelor’s degree.”

“Lubbock Christian University and Howard College have a history of collaboration as LCU used to teach the Organizational Management program on Howard’s campus for local cohorts in the past,” said LCU Chancellor, Dr. Ken Jones.
“We are excited to expand this partnership as Howard College aligns well with our vision and their graduates will now be able to further pursue their educational and career goals with the added flexibility of the online format.”
