Sheriar Press, Myrtle Beach's largest printing company, was honored with 50 awards at the Printing Industry of the Carolinas' (PICA) annual awards competition in Concord, N.C. on Saturday, March 3. The honors included 18 awards for “Best of Category,” 23 Special Judges Awards, eight Awards of Excellence and a Best Printing Award for Division B printers from both Carolinas. Nine of the 50 awards were presented for digital printing excellence, the most recent and rapidly growing print services category for Sheriar Press. With 50 total awards, Sheriar's total number of PICAS was more than any other printing company in North and South Carolina.

The Printing Industry of the Carolinas, Inc. (PICA) is a trade association representing the graphic communications industry in North and South Carolina. Headquartered in Charlotte, N.C., PICA has been serving the print industry since 1931. South Carolina ranks 31st in the nation with $1.3 billion in sales, 246 establishments, and 8,219 employees. North Carolina ranks as the 15th largest state print market in the United States with $3.3 billion in sales, 712 total printing companies and 20,788 employees.

"It's quite an accomplishment to lead all printing companies in both Carolinas in the total number of PICA awards given out at this year's annual competition,” said Andrew Lesnik, co-founder of Sheriar Press. "I can't say enough good things about the quality level that our people deliver day in and day out. It's always satisfying to have that validated by professional judges from around the country.”

Founded in 1971, Sheriar Press celebrates its 41st year as a full-service commercial printer with offset and digital capabilities. For well over a decade, it has won more awards than any printing company in South Carolina. For more information about Sheriar Press, visit http://www.sheriarpress.com.
