Pioneering west coast dance crew, Style Elements Crew, launches new website that will serve as the central hub of information for all future developments involving the group.

Style Elements Crew has been innovating and advancing the art of B-Boying and Hip-Hop dance since they first gained notoriety in the mid-1990’s. But it’s the group’s aims for the future that led to the launch of its new website Thursday.

“Our mission has always been to elevate creativity and expression in street dance to new levels,” explains Darrick “Quali-D” Fields, an original founding member of the group. “The site was built to show the world the different avenues we’re still exploring. We’re not yet done pushing the envelope.”

The group announced the launch of the site, http://www.SEcrew.com, throughout social media networks and online forums.

Founded in California in 1994, Style Elements is considered one of the most influential and well respected dance crews in Hip-Hop history. Having won over 50 of the most coveted nationwide and international B-Boy competitions, the group has long left its mark. It is widely credited for introducing a whole new vocabulary to B-Boying and opening people’s minds to further possibilities in the dance.

This past summer, the crew took in seven new members and began setting its sights on renewed activities.

“Hip-Hop is expression and expression is limitless,” says Marie “Pandora” Medina, one of the recent additions and first female member of the group. “We’re trying to follow our talents into as many different directions as they will lead us.”

Medina is typical of the diverse, multi-dimensional nature of the group. She is not only an accomplished dancer but also a poet, graphic designer, photographer, and producer. Other members are similarly aerosol artists, musicians, filmmakers, activists, and recording artists. The group plans to utilize these varying talents in everything from stage performances and workshops to products and recordings.

“All of us bring different skills to the mix and combine it together to make something never seen before,” says Ricardo “Stuntman” Romo. “That’s the recipe of Style Elements.”

In addition to insight on recent projects, the newly launched site features an in-depth history of the crew, its mission statement, profiles of each member, professional portfolio and booking information. It will serve as the central hub of information for all future developments involving the group.
