Victor, NY (PRWEB) March 20, 2012
REDCOM Laboratories Inc., a company that designs and manufactures the world’s most reliable telecommunications systems, will exhibit its Next Generation Carrier-Class softswitch solutions in Booth 214 at the IP Possibilities Conference & Expo, April 10-12 in Indianapolis.
REDCOM will showcase the SLICE® 2100™, a complete Class 4/5 exchange. The SLICE 2100 is an innovative hybrid softswitch/media gateway solution that provides a cost-effective migration to IP by maintaining the functionality and investment in existing TDM infrastructure. The SLICE 2100 enables service providers to deploy IP services when it makes sense, eliminating forklift replacements.
The SLICE 2100 features a packet voice-based architecture, supports up to 2,000 IP subscribers, and is powered by TRANSip®, REDCOM’s VoIP technology suite. TRANSip integrates key IP Multimedia Subsystem (IMS) elements in a single platform with superior call management for call setup, control, termination, and directory services.
TRANSip also offers an additional layer of security for VoIP traffic with encryption. Secure Real-Time Transport Protocol (SRTP) and Transport Layer Security (TLS) encrypt the packet voice stream and SIP signaling for client confidentiality and authentication.
REDCOM products are designed with a focus on future-proofing. All of REDCOM’s TRANSip-enabled solutions have IPv4/IPv6 dual-stack capability.
