Saint Louis, MO (PRWEB) March 19, 2012
Development Diagnostics LLC, a St. Louis-based nonprofit consultancy, today announced the first in a series of national benchmarking studies designed to better understand trends in development and fundraising operations. The 2012 Surveys of Development and Development Services Structure, Practices and Metrics are now open to all tax-exempt 501(c)(3) organizations for participation.
“Development-related best practices, performance metrics, and organizational structure have long been topics of discussion and conjecture among fundraising professionals,” says John Hostler, Development Diagnostics’ founder and principal consultant. “This study is designed to clarify a large body anecdotal evidence – to further differentiate the myth from the reality of how development and support services units actually function, and to set a baseline for nonprofit innovation. By tapping into all three areas (practices, metrics, and structure) simultaneously, we can better understand how they interact to drive performance.”
Each survey requires approximately 60 minutes to complete. Respondents will receive a complimentary copy of the detailed participant report for whichever survey(s) they submit. Participation is confidential, and reported data will not be individually identifiable. The surveys are available online at http://www.developmentdiagnostics.com/Surveys.html, and are scheduled to close at 11:59 p.m. on Thursday, May 31, 2012.
