Scrapbookers in the Louisville, KY region donating supplies while enjoying a weekend of inspiration, creating, and celebrating.

Scrapbookers from around the region are coming to Louisville to attend the Creating Keepsakes Scrapbook Convention (CKC) March 30-31, 2012 at the Kentucky Exposition Center. CKCs are a weekend of inspiration, creating and celebrating. They offer shopping, classes, crops (time to work on projects), giveaways, and more, all in a fun and friendly environment. This is CKC’s fourth year in Louisville and organizers anticipate thousands of crafters in attendance.

In addition to spending time scrapbooking, attendees will be bringing supplies to donate to the local chapter of Big Brothers Big Sisters. We’ll provide a drop-off box at the CKC Information Desk and encourage attendees to bring products they have extras of, no longer use, or just want to share. These products will then be donated to Big Brothers Big Sisters to be used by Bigs and Littles as a means to document their time together. We’ve found that scrappers are very generous and we appreciate the opportunity to support Big Brothers Big Sisters.

Also, with the recent tornadoes, CKC-Louisville attendees are also bringing donations to assist those needing disaster relief. CKC-Louisville organizers are referring attendees to http://www.scrapandpapercorner.com/events/ckc/louisville/donate.html for a list of needed supplies.
